In 1958, Ferdinand Daigle, Sr. founded “Daigle Midway Service,” in Frenchville Maine, where the company specialized in cooling and heating automotive system repair. In 1964, Ferdinand Daigle, Jr established “Automotive Electric,” with the focus being on electrical repair. Through the years, the company expanded, specializing in custom rebuilding and troubleshooting of all automotive electrical systems.
In 1985, Ferdinand (Paul) Daigle III joined the family business turning his electrical and technical expertise toward the public safety sector. Autotronics LLC was established becoming a distributor and service center for multiple specialty component manufacturers for many local municipalities.
Today, the company and their well-known reputation continues to grow based on leadership, professionalism, and their outstanding customer sales and service; while manufacturing the highest quality of ambulance remounts and maintaining a close partnership with vendors and other manufacturers specializing in emergency vehicle design.All manufacturers we represent are well known throughout the industry. We have become a “ONE-STOP” shop for all emergency vehicle needs and is committed to occupant safety, which is evident in the brands of ambulances we sell. Autotronics is a full-service remount facility in Frenchville, ME. Providing services to the public safety community for over 30 years, specializing in ambulance remounts, modification, and custom body manufacturing. All of our remount work is completed in house by highly skilled professionals who has expertise in manufacturing, remounting, repairs and is dedicated to producing high-quality results.
We perform virtually every part of the remount process under one roof and each remount comes with a personal workmanship warranty while keeping intact the ambulance brand’s original structural warranty. This allows us to better manage the quality and production of every vehicle. Our Remounts are focused on Braun, Demers, and Crestline brands and will also accept other emergency vehicle brands on a case-by-case basis.
Our in-house paint department Is operated by OUR most talented team in the industry uses the same materials used by the leading original ambulance manufacturers. From a plane white wrapper to full custom multi color paint scheme. Our 100X250 sq. ft. heated facility is located in Frenchville ME.
It consists of a 75’ X 20’ paint booth to accommodate Aerial and large fire apparatus bodies with a max height of 16’ and is the largest in all of New England.
